Evie Vorovka was born on June 06, 1923 in scenic Crawford, Nebraska, near Fort Robison. The beauty of the surrounding landscape stimulated a great desire to capture nature on canvas.
The desire became a reality when she enrolled in Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska. She studied design and color, drawing, watercolor and oil. Evie continued her art studies at Scottsbluff Community College and Southeast Community College.
Evie's paintings have won awards in numerous shows, including eligibility for her paintings to travel with the five state art shows and an award from the Women's Club of America.
Many of Evie's works hang in prominent homes throughout the United States, and have been exhibited in numerous shows and museum.
At her home studio on Alliance, Nebraska, she taught art classes to adolescents and adults in the mediums of watercolors and oil.
Evie is active painting at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska where she lives with her husband George. Evie enjoys family, friends, fun and International travel with her most recent trips taking her to Germany, France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the United Kingdom.
